Osiris New Dawn Review

Totally blows my mind that some tubers are doing episodic content on Osiris. I mean is there seriously enough content yet to even justify that? Check Out my review

No Man's Sky Game Breaker

If it was not easy enough to earn credits in No Man's Sky I just uploaded The Runaway Bride which includes a method to get unlimited units that in my opinion is a real game breaker.

No Man's Sky

There are some interesting games coming out over the next several weeks

We The Happy Few - July 26
Epic Manager: Create Your Own Adventuring Agency! - July 26
Batman: The TellTale Series - Episode 1: Realm Of Shadows  - August 2
No Man's Sky  - August 9th

All of these games are very different and each one has caught my attention for one reason or the other.

I have to admit though No Man's Sky has really peaked my curiosity I have not followed the game very closely but what I have seen it looks amazing. I am very curious about how the dynamics of the game work and how a massive multiplayer game that only offers a  single player experience will be accepted by players.

I assume the thrill of the game will be discovering things before other players but how long before that thrill wears off? And will a game with slow progression and no clear cut ending survive especially in this day and age of instant gratification?

I'm a Razer Fanboy

Today was a big day for me as a YouTuber.

It may seem trivial to others but today I was accepted to be an affiliate for Razer.
I know some will roll their eyes and say "Its just an affiliate account everyone gets those" or "it's not a sponsorship " but I feel like this was an huge accomplishment for me and I could not be happier.

About 4 months after I started Got Yer Back Gaming I felt like I had to have an affiliate account because that's what all the YouTube gaming channels do but I did not want to align myself with just any old company I wanted to promote a product or a service that I actually use. One that I would be proud to stand by and say I use this and I recommend it. I applied to several companies that I felt would be a good fit for my channel and naively I thought they would look at my content and immediately email me back asking "Where have you been? We've been looking for a channel like yours for years.".

 Lol Those emails never came.

I gave up on the idea and just focused on my channel until several days ago I was shopping for a new Kraken headset from the Razer website and I saw a small link at the bottom - affiliate application. On a whim I went ahead and filled it out not really expecting any response back but to my surprise 2 days later I received and email that I was accepted. YES! I honestly could not believe it and the reason why? If you could see my desk right now I'm typing on a Razer MMO keyboard that I bought about a year ago, I use a 2 year old Razer Naga 12 button mouse that I absolutely love, sitting beside my Xbox One is a Kraken headset and and a sabretooth controller. So yeah I'm kinda a big Razer fan and have been for a long time.

I did not get any highly detailed email saying how much they love my channel or really anything for that matter but instructions on how to to proceed but that was enough to make me happy knowing I can promote merchandise I use, I like and would 100% recommend to others.

So here is My affiliate banner! Go buy something! :)

7 Days to Die getting bad console reviews

I really hate seeing all the bad console reviews for 7 Days To Die. Most of the reviews I have read all state about the same thing terrible graphics, broken game, glitches, bad combat, and unnecessary crafting.  To be fair I have not played the game on either the PS4 or Xbox One but on PC the game is fantastic. In fact one of the most enjoyable games I have played within the last year.

I think small game studios should really think twice before releasing their games as preview titles to console. I'm not positive that console gamer's and reviewers for that matter fully understand exactly what an early access title is.

Most PC players when they purchase an early access title tend to understand what exactly they are getting into. You are purchasing an unfinished game, most of the time it is playable at the time of purchase but sometimes it is not. It could have poor graphics, game breaking bugs, and performance issues. It is an incomplete product.

When you purchase one of these early access games/preview titles like 7 Days to Die, ARK Survival Evolved or The Long Dark you are basically funding a game developers endeavor to finish the game. You are also paying money to be a guinea pig providing info on bugs and performance issues so they can continue to patch the game working towards a final release.

In my opinion Sony, Microsoft and game retailers need to do a much better job of explaining this to console players or games like 7 Days to Die are going to continue getting buried in unfair reviews and public perception.
